Puyallup is located in Pierce County, Washington, about twenty miles south of Seattle, and five miles east of Tacoma. Population of Puyallup was 37,022 at the time of the 2010 Census.

Puyallup is named after the Puyallup Tribe of Native Americans, and means "the generous people."
